about

To compliment the exploratory nature of the DECODE show, The Joys of Listening Whilst Watching took the visitor through just a portion of the magnificent riches of the collection in the V&A Museum in London via a soundwalk. Combining the natural environment, recorded in 3D/Binaural sound, with new compositions that aimed to resonate with each of the spaces, the work sought to engage and play with a vast terrain, unfolding a new narrative within the Museum.

The work was commissioned by the V&A to celebrate the exhibition Decode: Digital Design Sensations. Read more in the programme to have a better idea of the scope of the event in February 2010.

Unreleased and best to enjoy on headphones 😀
