about

In 2019, I borrowed this handsome synthesiser from my friend Allan Hall who runs AJH Synth (ajhsynth.com), a British based electronic music developer. Though I'm rather blessed with inspiring instruments in the studio, it's always a joy to accept a new challenge and test out unfamiliar machines and see what they might offer me in terms of expression.

I created all these pieces over a short period of time, just playing in the studio, not always fully understanding what they might be capable of. They were never intended for commercial release as such. Listening back now it's fun to hear how I tried to direct the pieces in very different ways each time, to see how far I could push myself and the instrument into a direction that I might not be familiar with. They are light, playful and a way to share with you the kind of experiments that don't always get heard.

Some of these had little videos made for them which I added to my YouTube channel but the sound if quite inferior there too, so now you can own them in full quality :-D

I have folders full of this material from each year, exploring different machines, experiments as yet unheard. So there will be a second volume if that's of interest to you.
