Random Dance – resident company of Sadler’s Wells - celebrated its 10th anniversary year with an ambitious new work Nemesis. The result of a series of collaborations with artists working at the height of their fields, Nemesis explores the relationship between body, screen and machine - extraterrestrial dance meets reality TV.

Active since 1992, Random catapulted to international recognition with its digital trilogy: The Millennarium (1997), Sulphur 16 (1999) and Aeon (2000) which has been presented in more than 35 countries world-wide. With distinctive company trademarks of highly original work, futuristic aesthetics and remarkable dancers, Random has quickly established itself as a "must see company" (The Observer).

Celebrated its 10th anniversary year with Nemesis, each of these works demonstrates an articulate dialogue between a rich choreographic language and a new performative relationship to a range of innovative media: animation, digital film, 3d architecture, electronic sound and virtual dancers. This distinctive programme has led to the explosion of Random as one of Britain’s leading dance companies, and has placed the company at the forefront of the interface between dance and new technology.
